Dr. Dixon is a 1985 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He has served as a board member and president of the Animal Emergency Center. He is presently a board member of PetMed Emergency Center. He also served on the advisory board for the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine for 10 years. He enjoys fly fishing and racquetball. He is a member and a deacon of Kirby Woods Baptist Church. He and his wife, Mary Karen, have 3 children. Dr Dixon's interests include diagnostic ultrasound, radiology, and internal medicine.
A 1988 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Johnson is a second-generation veterinarian. "Growing up with a father who was a veterinarian, I don't ever remember wanting to do anything else for a career," says Dr. Johnson. He has served as a board member and president of the Memphis/Shelby County Veterinary Medicine Association. He has also served as a board member and president of the PetMed Emergency Center. He and his wife, Gina, have 2 grown children. He is an active member of Central Church. He enjoys softball, racquetball, woodworking and being with his family. Dr. Johnson's veterinary interests include surgery (soft tissue and orthopedic) and class IV laser therapy.
Dr. Hanks graduated from University of Tennessee Vet School in 2012 and is originally from Henderson, Tennessee. She and her husband enjoy spending time with family, especially their three dogs; Scoobert, Sprocket, and Carter. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is that no two days are alike, other than happy pets. Dr. Hanks' interests include ophthalmology, internal medicine, surgery and ultrasonography.
Dr. Ricketts did her undergraduate studies at the University of Mississippi then attended the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1989. She and her husband, Charles, have 4 children: Wright, Jordan, Rachel and Luke. She enjoys being with her family as well as spending time with their dog "Archie" and cats "Theodore" and "Batman". Dr. Ricketts enjoys internal medicine and has a special interest in geriatric patients.
Laura joined our staff as office manager in May 2014. She first joined Forest Hill Animal Hospital in 2007 and worked as a Kennel Attendant and as a Technician. Laura enjoys working with our clients and having hands on interaction with the pets that visit us. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 cats "Jack," "Callie," "Champ," and dog "Miles."
Lindsey is a senior technician who has been with the clinic since 2003. She graduated from San Juan College as a certified veterinary technician in the Spring of 2012. In her free time Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband and son, taking care of her small farm, and riding horses. Lindsey and her husband own a mixed breed dog named Annie, five cats, three horses, and multiple other farm pets.
Stacy joined our receptionist team in March 2016. She has enjoyed getting to know our clients and interacting with our patients. In her spare time she loves being outside hiking and kayaking. She also enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren and her three dogs: "Nikki", "Dixie" and "Angel".
Renee started as a part time receptionist in Fall 2016. She enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her family and animals. Renee loves interacting with the clients and their pets. She has been on 4 mission trips to Kenya and she looking forward to going again.
Kristen is a full time technician who takes pride in her work. She is very devoted and is a hard worker. In her free time, Kristen enjoys riding on a motercycle with her husband. She finished school and passed her NVTE in December 2017.
Jordan joined our team of technicians in the Spring of 2014. She graduated from UT Martin after studying the Veterinary Health Technologist Program. She has a Lab named "Remington".
Lainey started working part time as a kennel assistant in the summer of 2016. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her horse "Pete".
Hannah started working part time as a kennel assistant in the fall of 2016. Hannah has a mixed breed dog named "Hazel".
Tyler started working part time as a kennel assistant in the summer of 2017.
Allaina started working part time as a kennel assistant in the summer 2017.
Brayden started working part time as a kennel assistant in the summer of 2017.
Rayna started working full time as a kennel assistant and training as a veterinary assistant in the winter of 2017.
