Dr. Dixon is a 1985 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He has served as a board member and president of the Animal Emergency Center. He is presently a board member of PetMed Emergency Center. He also served on the advisory board for the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine for 10 years. He enjoys fly fishing and racquetball. He is a member and a deacon of Kirby Woods Baptist Church. He and his wife, Mary Karen, have 3 children. Dr Dixon's interests include diagnostic ultrasound, radiology, and internal medicine.
A 1988 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Johnson is a second-generation veterinarian. "Growing up with a father who was a veterinarian, I don't ever remember wanting to do anything else for a career," says Dr. Johnson. He has served as a board member and president of the Memphis/Shelby County Veterinary Medicine Association. He has also served as a board member and president of the PetMed Emergency Center. He and his wife, Gina, have 2 grown children. He is an active member of Central Church. He enjoys softball, racquetball, woodworking and being with his family. Dr. Johnson's veterinary interests include surgery (soft tissue and orthopedic) and class IV laser therapy.
Dr. Hanks graduated from University of Tennessee Vet School in 2012 and is originally from Henderson, Tennessee. She and her husband enjoy spending time with family, especially their three dogs; Scoobert, Sprocket, and Carter. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is that no two days are alike, other than happy pets. Dr. Hanks' interests include ophthalmology, internal medicine, surgery and ultrasonography.
Laura joined our staff as office manager in May 2014. She first joined Forest Hill Animal Hospital in 2007 and worked as a Kennel Attendant and as a Technician. Laura enjoys working with our clients and having hands on interaction with the pets that visit us. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 cats "Jack," "Callie," "Champ," and dog "Miles."
Lindsey is a senior technician who has been with the clinic since 2003. She graduated from San Juan College as a certified veterinary technician in the Spring of 2012. In her free time Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband and son, taking care of her small farm, and riding horses. Lindsey and her husband own a mixed breed dog named Annie, five cats, three horses, and multiple other farm pets.
Kimberly is a full-time receptionist who has been with us since June 2013. Kimberly and her husband, Ray, spend their free time with their dogs "Loki" and "Thor", watching movies, fishing , and traveling as often as they can. She has visited Kenya Africa, Paris and England. She recently traveled to Israel.
Stacy joined our receptionist team in March 2016. She has enjoyed getting to know our clients and interacting with our patients. In her spare time she loves being outside hiking and kayaking. She also enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren and her three dogs: "Nikki", "Dixie" and "Angel".
"I started working at Forest Hill in December of 2015. I enjoy spending my free time with my family and my son. I have three dogs- "Bella" the beagle, "Glacier" a wolf hybrid, and "Zena" the husky. I love all animals and enjoy all outdoor activities!"
Whitney works part time and has been with Forest Hill Animal Hospital since February 2014. She has two cats named "Boogie" and "Cali".
Renee started as a part time receptionist in Fall 2016. She enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her family and animals. Renee loves interacting with the clients and their pets. She has been on 4 mission trips to Kenya and she looking forward to going again.
Kerri works as a part time receptionist. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren when she is not at work.
Kristen is a full time technician who takes pride in her work. She is very devoted and is a hard worker. In her free time, Kristen enjoys riding on a motercycle with her husband. She is currently in school to become a certified veterinary technician.
Jordan joined our team of technicians in the Spring of 2014. She graduated from UT Martin after studying the Veterinary Health Technologist Program. She has a Lab named "Remington".
"Ally" started working with us in October 2012. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Psychology. Allyson has a tabby cat she adopted from FHAH that she named Norman and a boxer named Cali.
Amanda works part time at Forest Hill Animal Hospital as a certified vet assistant. She is currently taking online Veterinary Technician Classes through San Juan College.
Miranda started working with us in Spring 2015 and works full time in the kennel. She is in training as a Veterinary Assistant. Miranda loves playing with the boarding animals and will go the extra mile to make sure they are happy & comfortable.
"Working for FHAH was my first 'real job'. I started working here in the fall of 2013, while I was a junior in high school. After a brief stint away from home, I returned to FHAH in the spring of 2016. Being an animal lover and a pet owner myself, it's a hard thing to think of a better workplace- who wouldn't love spending their days surrounded by animals of all sorts? I enjoy weightlifting, hunting, and enjoy a good movie in my spare time."
Lainey started working part time as a kennel assistant in the summer of 2016. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her horse "Pete".
Hannah started working part time as a kennel assistant in the fall of 2016. Hannah has a mixed breed dog named "Hazel".
Tyler started working part time as a kennel assistant in the summer of 2017.
Allaina started working part time as a kennel assistant in the summer 2017.
